The Mission
Mezi is short for mezzanine, the gathering floor of a venue, the level between the lobby and the main event, and where people meet between acts, look out over the crowd and find each other. Mezi is the space between scrolling and showing up.
Going out should connect you to people, not just places.
We're starting in Los Angeles, one of the densest live-event markets in the country. Sprawled across 80+ neighborhoods, separated by freeways and traffic. There's no shared bar everyone walks past. A city this fragmented deserves a way to find its people.

How Mezi Works
1. Discover
Open Mezi in the morning and see what's happening tonight, this weekend, or the entire next year. Concerts at the Hollywood Bowl, the Echo, or the Wiltern. Lakers at Crypto, Dodgers at the Stadium. Festivals like Coachella, Just Like Heaven. Comedy at the Greek, theater, conventions, and flea markets. Sorted by your interests and neighborhood. Everything you save lands in My Events, your running list of what's coming up and events you’ve already attended.
Mark yourself interested (save an event in your queue) or going, (RSVP and become part of the count and visible to your friends). Only people who turn on "Open to meet" are discoverable. So the person you noticed across the room can still find you a week later — if you both chose to be seen.
Communities are coming to Mezi too — run clubs and cycling crews, art groups, trivia nights, Soho House, the LA Marathon. Find your people where you already are and what you’re already doing.

2. Profile
Show who you are and where you've been. Display name, photos, bio, and interests. Friends, not followers — no public friend counts, nothing to keep score with.
Build out your taste graph — favorite venues, artists, sports teams, festivals. Add your event history with uploading videos and photos into your Vibes section. My Vibe: a living record of your nights out, all in one place. Post a photo or short video that shows what an event is actually like. Share it with friends and see an event in real time; it also shows up in Discover so others can feel the night as it happens.
Get discovered, too — people can find your profile through your Vibe. Every Vibe links back to its event page, so the night (and you) can still be found after it's over, and it's saved to My Vibe on your profile.
Tell people what you're here for — friendship, dating, both, or just events — with a simple badge you can show or hide. One profile, no performance.
3. Connect
Mezi confirms every person is real, over 18, and not a bot by selfie verifying when you sign up so you're meeting actual people and the community stays safer.
Connect is Mezi's one simple, app-wide way to meet people through what you're both showing up for, whether you're here for friends, dating, or both. Turn on "Open to meet" for an event you're going to, and you can find and be found by others who opted in there. Reach out with a friend request or a hello — connecting is always consensual, both people choose in.
Connect grows with the community. Early on it's light and local; the more people join, the more there is to it.
4. Chat
Message the people you're already connected with anytime. Share events with each other and find things to do together.
Every event and community page has a live chat for the people going. Find out from the community before you go, share what's happening, talk about it as it unfolds.
