The Mission
Mezi is short for mezzanine, the gathering floor of a venue, the level between the lobby and the main event, and where people meet between acts, look out over the crowd and find each other. Mezi is the space between scrolling and showing up.
Going out should connect you to people, not just places.
We're starting in Los Angeles, one of the densest live-event markets in the country. Sprawled across 80+ neighborhoods, separated by freeways and traffic. There's no shared bar everyone walks past. A city this fragmented deserves a way to find its people.

How Mezi Works
1. Profile
Show who you are and where you’ve been. Display name, age, photos, bio, and interests. Long bios welcome — write as much as you want. Prompts optional. Friends, not followers.
Build out your taste graph — favorite venues, artists, sports teams, festivals. Add your event history (every show, every weekend). Tag your closest friends and create Duos with the person you always go out with.
Your profile is a scrapbook, not a sales pitch. Show what you love. Collect what moves you. Skip the highlight reel. We’re building an anti-swipe culture — one where you actually get to know someone before deciding.
Create a friend profile, a dating profile, or both — toggle between them anytime. They’re independent, so a friend match stays a friend match and a dating match stays a dating match
2. Discover
Open Mezi in the morning and see what's happening tonight, this weekend, or the entire next year. Concerts at the Hollywood Bowl, the Echo, or the Wiltern. Lakers at Crypto, Dodgers at the Stadium. Festivals like Coachella, Just Like Heaven, Stagecoach. Comedy at the Greek, Largo, or Dynasty Typewriter. Theater, conventions, premieres. Sorted by your taste.
RSVP to any event to see who else is going.
Discover communities, too — the recurring scenes that make a city yours. Run clubs and cycling crews, gyms and climbing walls, trivia nights, Soho House, the LA Marathon. The places and groups you show up to again and again. Find your people where you already are.
Phase 2: member-created events — open meetups, parties, hangouts in your scene.
3. Mingle or Match
See profiles you visit directly, and message people you're already connected with.
To match and message strangers, selfie or ID-verify. Mezi confirms every person is over 18, real and no bots, to keep the community safer.
Once verified, you can access the general matching pool. Match daily with verified people across LA for friendship, dating, or both. RSVP "yes" to an event or community and join that pool of attendees. Filter to a specific event, or to "ticket holders only."Filter for age, interests, intentions, and more.
Each event page has the RSVP list available to other attendees so the person you saw across the room can still find you a week later.
4. Vibes
Post a Vibe — a photo or short video to give a sense of what the vibe is at the event.
Share Vibes with friends, see how the event is in live time.
Get discovered by other users — potential matches can find your profile through your Vibe post.
Vibes link to the event page, so people can still discover you after the event.
Every Vibe is selfie-verified to post and moderated before it publishes.
5. Chat
Every event and community page has a live chat for attendees. Share what's happening, find each other in the room, discuss the event live — the social warmth that's hard to build through matching alone.

I've spent over a decade in LA going to events — concerts, festivals, sports, conventions, and theater — and the same thing happens. You see someone across the room. The lights go down. The moment passes. The event ends.
I'm building Mezi so that moment doesn't have to pass.
